La Rochelle's Fijian player Levani Botia (R)
La Rochelle (France) (AFP) - Veteran Fijian international Levani Botia has extended his contract with La Rochelle until 2027, the Top 14 club announced Wednesday.
Botia, 37, first touched down in La Rochelle as an injury replacement in March 2014, but quickly won over home hearts with his robust style of play, be it as a hard-charging centre or ball-snagging flanker.
Botia has scored 51 tries in 242 matches for the club over 12 seasons, and was a key member of the squad that twice won the Champions Cup.
He has been capped 27 times by Fiji, turning out 11 times over the last three Rugby World Cups.
